By car from Geneva Airport

Follow directions for France as you leave the airport. Go straight ahead at the first two sets of traffic lights then move into the right hand lane as you follow directions left. After customs follow signs for Chamonix Mont Blanc along the Autoroute Blanc.

Directions from Chamonix to the Chalet L'Avenaz

As you arrive into Chamonix you cross the Montenvers railway line before you come to a large roundabout. Take the first right and follow this for approx 8 km (you cross another roundabout after about 3km). In Argentiere continue until you go underneath a railway bridge and travel along the main road until you see the Hotel Dahu on your left. At this point turn right onto the Route du Village and continue over the bridge past the church and bear right onto the Chemin de la Moraine, on the left just by a block of post boxes you will see Chemin de Liettes, Chalet L'Avenaz is the second from last chalet at the end of the private drive on the right.

Directions to Chalet Les Frenes

As you come off the Autoroute Blanc you will pass signposts for Les Houches.  Continue along this road and into some roadworks.  Follow the sign for Les Bossons and Les Bossons Glacier.  At the end of the sliproad turn right and take the higher road Route de Vers le Nant.  After about 400m you will see a Chalet on the left with blue shutters.  This is Chalet Les Frenes.  (If you get to the Hotel Mercure entrance you have gone too far.)
