Winter Ski Courses & Ski Touring
A week skiing, including 3 days with Internationally Qualified High Mountain Guides giving instruction, advice, and knowledge of off-piste skiing and mountain awareness.
Day 1 - Arrive Sunday - possibly ski in the afternoon
Day 2 - Monday - Ski day to get your legs back
Day 3 - Tuesday - Avalanche Awareness course
This course is of value to all winter sports enthusiasts and those committed to the serious pursuit of alpinism. You will be taught to recognize avalanche hazards with the focus being on safe winter travel and rescue techniques, hence increasing your outdoor awareness and confidence.
Day 4 - Wednesday - Free Ski day
Day 5 - Thursday - Glacier Travel Course
This one day glacier travel and crevasse Rescue course is designed for those skiers and climbers who wish to learn about safe glacier travel. This normally takes place on the Argentiére glacier. You will have the opportunity to learn how to move safely on the glaciated terrain which you are skiing over. Your guide will also instruct you on assisted and unassisted crevasse rescue technique and how to place belay anchors, all of which will be demonstrated using willing volunteers!
Day 6 - Friday - Day 7 - Saturday - With your guide either tackles one of the many day ski tours which are available in the Chamonix Valley.Or put your new found knowledge to the test and take a trip down the world famous Vallee Blanche, a 22 km off-piste run which is all on glaciers staring from the top of The Aiguille du Midi at 3842 Meters.
Available throughout the season for groups of min 4 People max 6 people.

Skiing with a high Mountain guide can be arranged at any time for any number of days. Argentiere and the Chamonix valley has a multitude of Skiing and Mountaineering activities to offer from day and multi day Ski tours, Off piste Skiing, Heli-skiing and Ice climbing.
