    Definitions Ski Scott James Ltd (hereinafter called SSJ or Ski Scott James) shall include where appropriate its associates and employees. The client shall mean the person who signs the booking form and shall include all persons on whose behalf the client books.

    Deposits and Bookings No contract shall exist between the client and SSJ until a booking form signed by the client has been received together with deposits of £100 per person or full payment if the booking is made within 8 weeks prior to the departure and a confirmation of booking and invoice has been issued by SSJ.

    Terms Payment: The client undertakes to make full payment no later than 8 weeks prior to departure; in the case of a late booking full payment must accompany the signed and completed booking form. The client shall be liable to fulfil payment for all those persons in whose name the booking was made. If the payment is not received by the due date SSJ reserves the right to cancel the arrangements without further notice or reference to the client, deposits and insurance premiums being forfeited and the normal cancellation charges shall apply.

    Surcharges: We shall endeavour not to surcharge your holiday cost, but if surcharging is necessary we will attempt to keep any increase to a minimum and will advise you of the adjustments at the earliest opportunity.

    Alterations: Any expenses incurred by SSJ in respect of any alterations to the booking will be passed on to the client. No alterations or amendments can be accepted unless received in writing from the client.

    Alteration or Cancellation by SSJ: IN the unlikely event that SSJ has to alter or cancel your holiday, the client shall be notified of any major changes as soon as possible and shall be offered a comparable holiday or full refund unless the alteration or cancellation is due to forces beyond the control of SSJ such as war, fire, floods, strikes, riots natural disasters, political unrest or any other circumstances amounting to Force Majeure.

    Cancellation by Client: A cancellation must be made in writing and signed by the client. If the cancellation is made more than 8 weeks before departure then the deposit shall be forfeited. If a cancellation is made within 8 weeks of departure the following cancellation fees are applicable from the total cost of the holiday 8-4 weeks 30%, 4-2 weeks 50%, 2-0 weeks 100%.

    Information and Brochure Accuracy: Any information given in the brochure or by letter or by word of mouth about the resort, accommodation, facilities or services is given in good faith based on the latest information and in the belief that it is true.

    Refunds: No refund will be made for any unused travel, accommodation or meals. Representatives, chalet girls and agents are not authorised to promise such refunds.

    Damage by Clients: SSJ shall be entitled to recover from the client the cost of repairs or replacements of any damaged or loss caused by the client. SSJ reserves the right to terminate the holiday of any client whose behaviour is considered to be detrimental to SSJ, its clients or any third party and no further contractual obligations will apply.

    Liability: SSJ does not accept liability of any act or default or omission on the part of any suppliers of any service that SSJ offers and over whom SSJ has no direct control. The client will be bound by the operating conditions of all suppliers of the other services that make up the holiday.

    Limitations of Liability: In no event shall the liability of SSJ to the Client for any loss or damage exceed the price paid for the relevant holiday or arrangement.

    Personal Belongings and Responsibility: All personal items including baggage and skis are at all times and circumstances are at the owners risk and SSJ is at no time responsible for any loss, damage delay to such items. Any advice or help given by an employee of SSJ including skiing with the client shall be accepted at the client's own risk and SSJ will not accept responsibility for any accident or illness to the client.

    Children and Babies: The client must accept responsibility for the behaviour and welfare of any children in the client's party. Every effort is made to ensure safety in our chalets; however any client taking children on holiday does so at their own risk.

    Visa Regulations: It is the clients' responsibility to ensure that they are in possession of a valid Passport with the necessary visas to allow entry to all countries that he will pass through as part of the holiday.

    Claims by the client: Any claims or complaints against SSJ should be notified to a representative of SSJ within 24 hours and any claim or complaint that cannot be resolved in the resort should be made in writing to SSJ within 28 days from the end of the holiday. A complaint must be made in writing by the person who signed the booking form.

    Jurisdiction: Any contract made by the client and SSJ shall be governed in all respects by English Law and English Courts only shall have jurisdiction in relation to any claim or dispute arising out of or connected with any such contract.
